If there’s anything Minecraft
is good at other than building virtual structures, it’s building the
hopes of cancer patients. Just this week, developer 4J studios revealed
on its Twitter post
that the Minecraft Halloween Skin Pack have raised a total of $770,448
for charities. The add-on was sold on Xbox Live for a month at 160 MSP
($2) and its proceeds are being split between four charitable
institutions namely: Block by Block, SANDS Lothians, Child’s, and
Macmillian Cancer Support. Roughly 385,000 players bought the spooky
pack, making it a genuine figure.
